Strategic acquisition of VDP Automation strengthens offering in drive technology

The acquisition of VDP Automation is part of Vansichen Linear Technology’s growth strategy to strengthen and expand its offering in drive technology and linear technology.

Founded in 1994 by Dirk Van Doren and Gunnar Pille, VDP Automation has built a strong reputation as a reliable distributor of renowned German manufacturers such as Stöber, R+W and Heinz. These brands are known for their quality and precision and form a valuable addition to Vansichen’s existing product range.

Thanks to this acquisition, Vansichen can significantly expand its portfolio of drive solutions, integrate additional technical expertise and market knowledge and provide even better support to customers in machine building and industrial automation.

Strengthening Vansichen in Belgium and France

With the integration of VDP Automation, Vansichen is reinforcing its position in the Belgian market while at the same time taking an important step towards international growth.

Through VDP Automation sarl, its presence in France will be further expanded. In addition, Vansichen will become active in the French market through the distribution of Heinz products, creating new opportunities within the drive technology sector.

This expansion aligns with Vansichen’s ambition to position itself as a strong technical partner in Belgium and to continue growing internationally, including in France.

What does this acquisition of VDP Automation mean for our customers?

For our customers, continuity is key. From 1 July 2026, the administration of VDP Automation will be handled by the team in Hasselt, while sales will be managed by Vansichen’s sales engineers.

Customers can continue to rely on the same contact persons and trusted service, support through their dedicated sales engineer and the familiar quality of products and solutions. At the same time, they will benefit from important additional advantages, including a broader and stronger product offering, access to additional technical expertise and broader support for complex projects.
