We’ve moved! New address: Bedrijfsstraat 28, Kiewit. Vansichen Linear Technology left Herkenrodesingel to move into its Hasselt offices on the Bedrijfsstraat in December 2023. This ex-waffle factory is now a modern business building with warehouses.
Located in Kiewit, surrounded by greenery, and next to the Corda Campus
“An ex-waffle factory on the Bedrijfsstraat in Kiewit turned out to be an ideal location to house both our office and warehouse,” says Thomas Vansichen. “It was not only the location that convinced us, the expansion possibilities also played a role. We currently have 25 employees, but there is room for 40. Moreover, we are surrounded by greenery and we have Corda Campus just a stone’s throw away.”
Comfortable & modern office
“The new offices are equipped with every comfort. Glass panels have been used throughout the building. A conscious decision was made to combine a feeling of space and tranquillity,” Vera explains.
“There is also a covered bicycle shed, while electric bicycles can be charged indoors. We have many employees who commute by bike, so we have provided showers so they can freshen up when they get to work. Charging stations for electric cars have also been considered.”
Green environment, green offices
“Sustainability was also on the agenda when building the new offices. For example, we have a geothermal system for the cooling and heating, which required eleven 145 metre-deep boreholes to be drilled. Everything is insulated to the latest standards, we have installed a heat pump and more than 200 solar panels on the roof. We have also tried to work with as many local (Limburg) suppliers as possible. For example, Jaraco took care of the shell, L&P the interior, and Kreon the lighting and climate ceiling,” Thomas concludes.
